Concept & Inspiration
This project is a layout and cover design for a book on French contemporary artist François Morellet, a prolific self-taught painter, sculptor, and installation artist.

Over a career spanning more than six decades, he developed a radical approach to geometric abstraction, pushing the boundaries of minimalist and conceptual art.

Design Approach
The cover features a custom display case with the artwork printed in color on the outside, while the title appears as a light gray pattern printed on the matte cover. This layered effect creates a subtle, shadow-like impression of deconstructing the artist’s thoughts behind the artwork, giving the design a refined and elegant feel.

The book design is centered around Morellet’s work for the National Gallery of Berlin. the page layout simulates a museum tour of his artworks.
